The honor of your presence is requested at the 35th Annual Live & Silent Service Auction hosted by West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church. The theme is “Renaissance Affaire” and you are invited to dress for the occasion— or not…it’s your choice! Feasting and bidding shall commence on Friday, November 10, at 6 pm. Enjoy an array of savory offerings, sweets, wine, a 50/50 Raffle, and a variety of enchanting auction items.
The Service Auction is West Shore’s largest fundraiser. We need your help again to achieve our goal of raising $45,000 for the church’s General Fund. Donations by church members, friends, and businesses you frequent are the key to making West Shore’s largest fundraiser a success.
HOW CAN YOU HELP?
Host a party, sponsor an event or tour, offer a service, purchase tickets for museums or shows, offer baked goods or lessons, host a dinner party in your home or out on the town—the possibilities are endless. Ask a friend or new member to help you. We will gladly accept take-away donations especially if those items are created by West Shore artisans or new items valued at $50 or more. Gift certificates or smaller cash donations are also welcome. Remember, you don’t have to do this alone—join with friends! Remember, all your expenses toward these donations are tax deductible!
DONATION FORMS
The deadline for donation submissions is Sunday, October 22.
DONATION IDEAS
Consider asking your favorite businesses and stores for a donation. To help you, we’ve provided a “Letter to Community Businesses” on the Service Auction page of the church’s website. Download a few donation forms and carry them with you so a business can fill them out on the spot. Businesses will receive a letter of appreciation and acknowledgment at the event.
Your donation is critical to helping West Shore thrive—our Social Justice Ministries, staffing, programming, services, and much of the important work that supports our Seven Principles and our mission to “inspire more people to lead lives of meaning and purpose.”
