Our Facility

West Shore is a dynamic and versatile facility which accommodates hundreds of meetings and events year round. Priority is given to the ministries and task forces within the church, however, non-members and outside organizations whose purpose and philosophy is consistent with our mission are welcome. The building is a modern, inviting place to hold religious ceremonies and social gatherings. Our building consists of small, medium and large meeting spaces that can be utilized in a number of ways.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary offers an accessible, modern and welcoming space for West Shore members, private individuals and organizations, frequently used for weddings, piano recitals, concerts, speakers, and other community activities. It is a popular site for interfaith couples. The maximum seating capacity is 350 people, however, the space also works well for smaller groups of 50 or more. The audio system was upgraded in 2017, and can be available for a small additional fee.

Baker Hall

The West Shore Unitarian Universalist Church was completely renovated in 2005-2006. Baker Hall (seating capacity: 150) can be used for large receptions, weddings, programs and other community events. The church has access to a wooden dance floor for special events. We are a smoke-free campus; which means there is no smoking permitted in the building or on or around the church grounds.

The Chapel (seating capacity: 60) is floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook a gracefully landscaped garden area. It is equipped with a drop screen for projection, a baby grand piano, podium, and two small tables. The Chapel can be used for small weddings, memorial services or community events & programs.

Baker Hall Kitchen was completely refurbished during the 2005-2006 renovation and boasts state-of-the art industrial kitchen grade equipment. Just down the hall, the Rotunda Kitchen serves as a coffee & hors d’oeuvres preparing station.

The Fireside Room

The Fireside Room has an elegant “drawing room” feel. Recently refurbished, it can hold about 40 people for a small reception, speaker series or art show. At the heart of the Fireside Room is a gas log fireplace. One wall is entirely glass and overlooks the Courtyard.
