Our Facility

West Shore is a dynamic and versatile facility which accommodates hundreds of meetings and events year round. Priority is given to the ministries and task forces within the church, however, non-members and outside organizations whose purpose and philosophy is consistent with our mission are welcome. The building is a modern, inviting place to hold religious ceremonies and social gatherings. Our building consists of small, medium and large meeting spaces that can be utilized in a number of ways.

The Sanctuary

The Sanctuary offers an accessible, modern and welcoming space for West Shore members, private individuals and organizations, frequently used for weddings, piano recitals, concerts, speakers, and other community activities. It is a popular site for interfaith couples.

The maximum seating capacity is 335 people however, the space also works well for smaller groups of 50 or more. The audio system was upgraded in 2017, and can be available for a small additional fee.

The Chancel floor area can be set up with chairs for small discussion groups.  Suggested capacity for this type of set up is approximately 16 people.

Baker Hall

Baker Hall can be used for large receptions, weddings, programs and other community events. The church has access to a wooden dance floor for special events. We are a smoke-free campus; which means there is no smoking permitted in the building or on or around the church grounds.

Suggested seating capacity depending on the room set up:

  • Theater-style seating with center aisle: 180 people
  • Round tables with chairs: 128-150 people
  • Classroom-style seating with rectangle tables and chairs: 80-100 people

The Chapel is a multi-purpose room with floor-to-ceiling glass windows that overlook a gracefully landscaped Memorial Garden and Courtyard area. It is equipped with a drop screen for projection, a baby grand piano, and podium. The Chapel can be used for small weddings, memorial services or community events and programs.

Suggested capacity depending on the set up of the room:

  • Theater-style seating with center aisle: 50 people
  • Round tables with chairs: 40 people
  • Classroom-style seating with rectangle tables and chairs: 40 people

There are two kitchens available. The Baker Hall Kitchen is equipped with state-of-the art industrial kitchen equipment including refrigerator, stove/oven, and adequate stainless-steel countertop space. Just down the hall, the Rotunda Kitchen, much smaller in space, is equipped with a refrigerator and microwave oven with plenty of counter space.

The Fireside Room

The Fireside Room has an elegant “drawing room” feel. Recently refurbished, it can hold approximately 30 people for a small reception, speaker series or art show. At the heart of the Fireside Room is a gas log fireplace. One wall is entirely glass and overlooks the Courtyard and Memorial Gardens. If you are interested in a business meeting with tables and chairs, the space can be set up for 24 people.

Classrooms (Room 8, 9, 11)

Each of these classrooms is equipped with tables and chairs.  Suggested capacity: 12 people.

Classrooms (Room 10, Room A)

These two classrooms have couches and club chairs.  Suggested capacity: 8-10 people.
